 Abstract

The not so systematic banking industry in case of investment has been a major cause of promoting savings and investments through financial markets in India. After the opening up of markets in the year 1991, there has been progressive growth in the capital market in India. The new economic and liberalization policies gave way to a subsequent push for the financial services in India. Small and medium scale investors have been encouraged to bring in their investments into financial markets through the introduction of mutual funds. This is an exploratory study on the mutual fund industry in India and its growth since a decade. This study is conducted based on secondary data analysis only.

 Abstract

In Nashik district, Sinnar is famous as an Industrial City. But from the past 50 years it has been identified as drought prone. So it was recognized as an undeveloped. Farmers and farm labors were prominently depend on the farming for their livelihood. Hence there was no alternative to agriculture. Though agriculture was a means of livelihood, it was not even developed. The farmers had to depend on rain water. Agriculture was the only industry that brought the time of starvation of the people of the Sinnar taluka. There was no source of employability in Sinnar. No political party or government had thought about the development of Sinnar taluka in such a situation. Before 1983, BIDI Udyog is the biggest means of livelihood in Sinnar taluka. Rising. Then the MLA Suryabhanji Gadhak (Nana) demanded MIDC in Sinnar. He took efforts for the establishment of MIDC. As the government did not pay any attention on the issue of the industrial estates, he decided to set up the first industrial estate in rural areas on co-operative basis. Along with some of the members he established Sinnar Taluka Industrial Co-operative Estate on 10/12/1982 at Musalgaon which is 6 km away from the East of Sinnar city. Though it was an undeveloped taluka, Sinnar has been on the map of the world as an industrial city today. The foundation of the National Highways, Railway, Air Travel and all the modern facilities are made available with the rapid speed.

 Abstract

Globalisation, liberalisation and privatisation have created many challenges in the higher education. Teacher education is a programme which is related to the development of teacher proficiency and competency which would enable and empower teacher to meet the requirement of profession and face the challenges. UGC has introduced Orientation, refresher and subject specific faculty development courses for senior college and University teachers under Career advancement scheme. But these courses have not fulfilled the objective of achieving excellence in education. These courses have not contributed to improve teaching skill, or e- teaching skill. There is need to develop faculty development programme to suit the requirement of modern competitive job market. In this research paper an attempt has been made to mention limitations of existing faculty development programme and ways in which faculty development programme can be improved.

 Abstract

On 8th of November 2016, India witnessed a groundbreaking event, which affected thousands of people of this country. The Indian Prime Minister announced the ban of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes from use as legal tender commonly termed as Demonetization. The main objectives for demonetization was to restrain corruption, to curb the use of high denomination notes for terrorist activities, destroy fake currency and making black money to flow into the main stream of the economy by declaring their income to the tax authorities. But this action caused chaos in the economy as people had to face the deficiency of liquid cash for day-to-day transactions resulting in long queues in front of the ATM. The informal sector and the primary producers were highly affected by demonetization. This paper aims to analyze the short-term effects of demonetization on Indian Economy.
